一年一度的夏夜公園電影院Summer Movies in the Park活動又來囉！住在聖地牙哥比較久的家庭可能都知道這個活動，漫漫暑假嘛，除了白天替孩子們安排夏令營、或長達幾天或數週的旅遊行程外，到了晚上似乎也很難放電完，那麼，還有甚麼活動是比去家裡附近的公園或社區活動中心看電影來得有效？可以讓孩子覺得有放假的感覺又不會難做到呢？小編一家就常常查好電影時刻表，揪上鄰居、帶著野餐墊、薄毯薄外套、海灘椅和爆米花可樂，一同看免錢的電影、享受一個輕鬆搞定孩子的夜晚啦！今年的「公園夏日電影院」(Summer Movies in the Park) 活動，舉辦時間長達5個多月，讓您一路從還沒放暑假的五月中下旬一直看到開學後入秋的十月底(5/18～10/26)喔！
Summer Movies In the Park從2007年開始舉辦，為了加強居民的社區意識、增加居民對在地公園的使用率而設計，一開始只在聖地牙哥縣的4個社區公園辦理11場的電影播放，後因獲得熱烈迴響而年年擴大。此活動除了已經成為各地社區居民和鄰居們彼此交流的好機會外，也是聖地牙哥和各地方機構單位聯合動員的好時機，包括聖地牙哥郡公園及社區活動中心部門、聖地牙哥市、Chula Vista市、 El Cajon市、 La Mesa 市、Lemon Grove市、 National City、 Oceanside市、Poway市、Vista 和USS Midway Museum都一同共襄盛舉，希望不管在何地、參加哪一場次的民眾，都能有個特別的觀影體驗、有個愉快難忘的夏日夜晚！
播放的電影多是去年年度大片，如《小腳怪(Smallfoot)》、《媽媽咪呀！回來了(Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again)》、《超人特攻隊2(Incredibles 2)》、《無敵破壞王2：網路大暴走(Breaks the Internet)》、《尖叫旅社3：怪獸假期(Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation》、《蜘蛛人：新宇宙(Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse) 》、《寵物當家2(The Secret Life of Pets)》等，也有一些是經典懷舊電影，可上官網依您鄰近的社區查詢，或點此2019 summer movies in the park電影播放列表PDF檔。
